Beginning Life
Rapaport’s mother, June Brody is a known New York radio star and his father, David Rapaport is a manager of radio programs. His star idols in his teenage years, were Christopher Walken and Robert De Niro, both New York residents like Michael.
He shifted to Los – Angeles, California after being expelled from the high school, to attempt stand – up comedy.
Career and Works
Rapaport has done several comedy and drama roles on television and films. He worked on many movies like, Metro, in which he worked with Eddie Murphy, Deep Blue Sea, in which he became a marine biologist and he acted as a racist in the film, Higher Learning. He received a lot of acclaim for his work on Zebrahead. As Dick Ritchie in True Romance, he won a lot of hearts.
He dealt with the routine challenges of a family life on the sitcom The War at Home, from 2005 – 2007. He also worked on My Name is Earl, Boston Public and Friends. He also did voice overs for the video game, Grand Theft Auto III’s Joey Leone and in Sant’s Row (Xbox 360) in 2006.
He also has planned up a documentary based on A Tribe Called Quest, a hip hop act, in cahoots with the producer of the venture, Nas, the rapper. Also in pipeline is a show about the work done by some social workers.

Prison Break Tv Show
On the fourth season of the drama show Prison Break, Rapaport enacts the main character of Don Self, who is a special Agent with the Homeland Security Department.
Personal life
Michael is wedded to Nichole Beattie and the couple has two sons together; Julian Ali and Maceo Shane.
Time Magazine listed Michael on the top slot in its list of Most Underrated Actors of ALL time.
He also competed in the Celebrity Game at the NBA All-Star Weekend along with actor Chris Tucker, NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, four Harlem Globetrotters and Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins from the NBA Hall of Fame.
